MT FERRULE
The MT ferrule is a multi-fiber, plastic ferrule with a square end-face of 6.4x2.5 mm and fiber pitch 0.25mm, widely applied in MPO ferrule connectors and AOC cables. 12 and 24-fiber MT ferrules are the most commonly used types.

MT Ferrule Dimensions
MT is short for mechanical transfer. MT ferrule is a multi-core polyphenylene sulfide ferrule, which also called PPS ferrule, with a square end-face of 6.4×2.5 mm and 0.25mm pitch between adjacent fiber holes. The alignment mechanism includes two stainless steel guide pins fit into precisely molded alignment holes.
As a ferrule manufacturer, T&S produces 12-core, 16-core and 24-core MT ferrules at different grades like MM Standard, MM low loss and SM Standard and SM low loss.
MT Ferrule Connector
MT ferrule plays an important role in the connection as a key component in MPO connectors. By mating with another MT ferrule, the final quality of connection decides the optical performances insertion loss and return loss.
As an important element, MT Ferrule is generally applied in high-density fiber networks. Except for MTP/MPO ferrule, it is also assembled with MT/Fiber Array as devices used in modules and optical transceivers.
