Grade B Patch Cord

T&S grade B patch cord connector is the patchcord with the random mating performance of Grade B as IEC-61753-1 defined, more than 97% of maximum 0.25dB random mated with each other and the average is less than 0.12dB. Simplex, duplex grade B patchcord is well fabricated and all grade B connectors (including LC, MU, SC, FC, etc.) are compliant to IEC-61754, end face geometry is superior to IEC-61755. As an experienced fiber patch cord manufacturer, T&S provides high-quality grade patch cable b connector for years.

Grade B Patch Cord Basic Info

With the advances in 5g fiber optic technology and transmission systems, reliable cabling systems are becoming even more important. Active optical equipment, which is often worth hundreds of thousands of dollars, is all connected to the network via the humble optic fiber patch cord or patch lead. The risk of network downtime due to unreliable cabling is one that should be avoided. Therefore, these types of networks, along with many other Data Center and high-speed Commercial networks require reliable patch cord connector infrastructure in order to maximize performance and to ensure long-term reliability.

Optical Fiber Connector Grades of Grade B Patch Cord Connector

IEC standards dictate the patch cord connector performance for each grade of fiber-optic patch cord connector based on IEC 61753-1. As defined, there are four grades for insertion loss from A (best) to D (worst). For conventional patch cord connector, mated performance is over 0.5dB, even to 1.0dB. This may cause the whole high-speed optical connection system unreliable and transmission unstable. Therefore, the grade B patch cord connector is stable with the excellent optical performance of a maximum 0.25dB while mating each other which is a guarantee for hundreds of gigabit data exchange with connections.
